Es ist wieder so weit! Wir machen uns zum dritten mal auf den Weg in den Norden Ghanas bis nach Nakpanduri und wir freuen uns Euch auf diese Reise mitzunehmen.

Eine lange Reise

Die Reise bis in den Norden ist jedes mal ein Erlebnis.

Am 26.08 ging es von Berlin aus los. Über Istanbul erreichten wir nach ca. 13 Stunden die Hauptstadt Ghana´s Accra. In Accra haben wir die Nacht in einem kleine Hotel in der Nähe des Flughafens verbracht.

Leider war die gesamte Nacht über Stromausfall in Accra, daher ging es dann morgens leider ohne Dusche zurück zum Flughafen auf nach Tamale.

 

Unser Flug hatte Verspätung. Die Dame mit der professionellen Warnweste beruhigte die Fluggäste und meinte bei der Verspätung würde sich lediglich um einen Routinecheck am Flugzeug handeln und in 5 bis 10 min würde es los gehen. Da haben Pascal und ich bereits geschmunzelt. Wenn in Ghana jemand von 5 bis 10 min redet kann man oftmals vom Doppelten ausgehen.

Mit etwa einer Stunde Verspätung sind wird dann in Tamale gelandet.

Von Tamale aus nimmt man ein Trotro, das einen dann nach Nakpanduri bringt. Knapp 200km für die man laut Google Maps etwa 3 Stunden 40 brauchen soll.

Bei den Trotros handelt es sich um ausrangierte Autos aus oftmals anderen Ländern und zu unserem Erstaunen fuhren wir dieses Mal in einem alten, deutschen Auto.
Es gibt keinen genauen Abfahrtszeitpunkt. Das Car fährt wenn das letzte Ticket verkauft ist.
Auf das Dach werden allerlei Waren und Gepäck geladen. Dieses Mal mit dabei: ein Kühlschrank und ein Motorrad.

Im Trotro sitzen meisten schon viele Leute, die auch nach Nakpanduri möchten. Und da Nakpanduri nicht allzu groß ist, kennt man sich. Eigentlich ist es ab dem Trotro nach Nakpanduri schon ein wenig heimisch.

Im Bus saß ein kleiner Junge, der die Fahrt über die Gäste unterhalten hat. Er hat sich auch lange mit Pascal beschäftigt, mit seiner Hautsfarbe, den Haaren auf seinen Armen und auf seinem Kopf. Schlussendlich kam er zu dem Entschluss, dass Pascal erneut zum Friseur müsse, da seine Haare immer noch zu lang seien.

Die Busse in Ghana sind ein Thema für sich. Am Ende geht es zwar nur darum, irgendwie anzukommen.

 

Unser Bus war erstaunlich gut in Form, mit funktionierenden Lichtern und verschließbaren Fenstern. Leider bemerkten wir auch große Lautsprecher hinter uns und hofften einfach, dass diese nicht funktionieren würden. -sie funktionierten. Daher gab es in voller Lautstärke jeden erdenklichen Remix der Ghana Hits, so laut, dass die Lautsprecher übersteuern.
Eigentlich versuchen wir diese „Party-Busse“ zu vermeiden.

Aber letztendlich geht es nur um eines: wir sind sicher angekommen und freuen uns endlich in Nakpanduri zu sein.
